Frederick Meijer Gardens Up for Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights
Frederick Meijer Gardens is a true West Michigan gem, and locals know why. Between the year-round art and nature exhibits, hundreds of stunning sculptures, and the Summer Concert Series, it’s no wonder this spot has been voted the No. 1 sculpture park in the country—three years running!

A Nationally Recognized Holiday Experience
Now, one of its newer attractions is getting national attention. Last year, Meijer Gardens launched Enlighten, an immersive holiday light experience that’s quickly become a must-see.

Art, Lights, and Music Come Alive
At Enlighten, visitors step into a glowing wonderland. Pathways shimmer, art comes alive with light, and seasonal soundscapes fill the air. It’s a magical mix of art, nature, and festive sparkle that makes even the ordinary feel extraordinary.
The experience goes beyond twinkling lights. You’ll encounter light installations inspired by world-renowned artists like Auguste Rodin, Roxy Paine, and Alexander Liberman—all set to music. Highlights also include a festive beer garden and the winter waterfall show. You can make it even more special with themed dining, cocktails, or a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
