Starting this weekend, every Wednesday through Sunday, through November 14, 2021, you'll be able to stroll through an illuminated landscape of nature, drenched with rich lighting and sounds at IllumiZoo at John Ball Zoo:

This striking spectacle cycles through creative imagery, music-synchronized animal displays, and animated motifs of moving light. Vibrant hues will transform the Zoo, enriching the appreciation of wildlife and wild places found all around us.

How cool! Check out pictures of IllumiZoo last year in the gallery below!

If you did attend in 2020, John Ball Zoo says the route will be different, and you'll get to explore different parts of the zoo illuminated with sights and sounds this year. The path is wheelchair as well as stroller-friendly.

While you won’t be able to see the zoo animals on the one mile walk, it sounds like there will be plenty to take in!

From what I see on John Ball Zoo's Facebook page too, last year they even lit up their concessions menu, with special adult beverages and colorful sweets for kids!

Maybe they'll have different beverages this time around but last year's drink menu sounds delish -  spiked hot chocolate, spiked cider, and apple cider mimosas - yum!

If you're interested in a magical night out at John Ball Zoo, you're highly encouraged to get your tickets ahead of time. You can reserve your spot on the zoo’s website. Tickets are $20 for adults, $13 for children and seniors, and kids under two are free.
