Sunday afternoon, I got the spend a few hours with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for their latest Christmas show at the Van Andel Arena. I've been a fan of these guys since they were still Savatage, and they hadn't developed the huge Christmas-themed spectacle it has become.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra show is a fantastic experience for the holidays, and features amazing musicians, a stunning spectacle...and a cash COW! The traveling experience grossed a whopping $52 MILLION in 52 days, from November 13th through January 4th! The two touring shows (one east coast, one west) brought in $1 MILLION A DAY, played for almost a million fans, and donated more than a million

TODAY is the last day to enter this awesome 97.9 WGRD contest for a trip for four in August 2015 to Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Savatage rock!

I've been a fan of Trans-Siberian Orchestra since they put the project together, and I was a fan of Savatage before that.   I got to see one of the first tours the band did, when it was much more stripped down, and it was really good even then. Flash forward several years, and the show keeps getting bigger, better and more amazing!
