I've been a fan of Trans-Siberian Orchestra since they put the project together, and I was a fan of Savatage before that.

I got to see one of the first tours the band did, when it was much more stripped down, and it was really good even then.

Flash forward several years, and the show keeps getting bigger, better and more amazing!

This year was even bigger than the last time I'd seen the band, and the stage was really creative! It is performing "The Christmas Attic" story.

For it, they built a giant chest on stage that opens, with a video screen in the lid and the drummers, strings and keyboards rising out of it.

The rest of the band prowls around in fronts and the wings on the sides, along with the well and lifts at the front of the stage and back by the sound board!

They rocked "The Christmas Attic" for about an hour and a half, and then played other songs, including "Hall of the Mountain King," one of the big Savatage hits!

Even if you missed the show here in Grand Rapids, you still have a chance to see TSO in Germany at the Wacken Open Air festival! Get signed up now to win below!
