Friday afternoon, before Ghost hit the stage at the Orbit Room, the band came by the GRD studios to perform some songs for winners acoustically. This was a cool performance, and even made some fans of people from our sister stations, Ghost was that good.

Today on Segment 16, the nice people from the Van Andel brought KISS cupcakes by to help celebrate the announcement that KISS is returning to Grand Rapids! Joe immediately got so excited at even the thought of cupcakes, that he destroyed them. Everyone was sad.

Friday night, Wayland returned to the Intersection for a packed show in Grand Rapids, with lots of special guests and friends of the band. One of the bands who shared the stage were Grand Rapids' own The After Effect!

Wayland returned home for a big show at the Intersection on Friday night, December 4th, and packed the house for long show, filled with Wayland favorites, and a bunch of new songs! The guys had a great time, and the crowd was singing along with all the songs.

Wayland is set to rock the Intersection tonight with some great bands, and then they're going on their first long break in years! Before that break, they're all set to rock hard with a bunch of new songs for Grand Rapids. They stopped by GRD to hang with me for a while, interview themselves, and play a couple songs for us!

By now, Adele's new hit song "Hello" has become widely popular, even among people who normally affiliate with different musical genres. So really, it was only a matter of time before somebody covered "Hello." Yet what makes this cover so cool is that it isn't just one version of the song; it's 25!

On October 17th, I was lucky enough to be in Las Vegas to see one of my favorite bands of all time, the mighty Judas Priest at the Palms. They are always awesome, and rocked the crowd at the Pearl Theatre. Rob sounds really good, and the band is on fire! Another great band on the show, was Mastodon!

It's been some time since we have heard from our friends in Wayland! They've been hard at work on their upcoming album, while touring relentlessly throughout the country, so maybe it's time to make it back home for some hometown rock right?

Back in high school, the only music that I ever listened to before metal took over my life, was KISS and Green Day. Something about the look, the music, and the attitude the band had during that era of my life was something I latched onto like a sickness and fell in love with it. It was all because of Green Day's 'American Idiot.'

One of the best albums to come out this year is the new Ghost album, Meliora. This is their third album, not counting the covers EP, and this is by far the best thing they've released. A bit more 70s proggy, lots of cool songs, and one of the happiest songs about Satan I've ever heard, called 'He Is'...
