Sunday night, June 7th, Apocalyptica hit The Intersection with Art of Dying for a great show in support of the new Shadowmaker album. If you haven't seen Apocalyptica, they're a great band from Helsinki, Finland. They first made waves in 1996, when they released an album of Metallica covers performed entirely with four cellos.

Wayland is back in town tomorrow night, for another fantastic show at The Intersection! These guys kick serious ass live, and it's a great, fun show to see. It's a cool bonus that they're here from the Grand Rapids area, so we get to claim another amazing band! I'm getting ready for the show by checking out some videos I have from the last year since I got here and started filming the guys...they'

Volbeat has been working on their next album, and we've been patiently waiting for it since the last tour ended. I think the guys know we're not handling the wait very well, as they premiered the first half of a new song this weekend, in San Antonio. We don't have the title yet, but it's a pretty freaking cool first half of a song! Crank it up and check it out!

The Nickelback "No Fixed Addess" tour rolled into the Van Andel arena last night, and I was pretty excited to see a full set from The Pretty Reckless opening the show! I'd seen a bit of their show last year at Rock on the Range, but didn't catch it all. This time, I caught the set, and they were really good, even if they did seem a bit tethered to the center of the stage.

Rob Zombie has a new live album coming out, called "Spookshow International Live," and it's his first live album in eight years. Here's a video for the encore song, "Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga."

A couple weeks ago, Korn and Slipknot hit the stage together in England to perform a kick-ass cover of The Beastie Boys song, "Sabotage." It took a while for the pro-shot footage to come out, but now it's here! The audio is great, the camera angles are cool, and you really get to experience this amazing performance the bands put together for this one-off performance!
