Jay and Silent Bob are striking back once again. The View Askewniverse hasn’t been updated in quite a while (no, Kevin Smith’s episodes for Supergirl don’t count, although he probably wishes they did), but after ten years, Smith is ready to return to the series with a film currently titled Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
Supergirl will mark the first of The CW’s DC shows to debut in 2017, while Kevin Smith adds a second series under his belt directing January 23 return “Supergirl Lives.” Our first photos take Kara and Mon-El to an alien world, running afoul of Dichen Lachman’s Roulette, and Kevin Smith’s own daughter, Harley Quinn.
Just when you thought Kevin Smith’s burgeoning TV career with the likes of The Flash or Buckaroo Banzai would put a few long-dormant film projects to rest, Mallrats is ready to offer another chocolate-covered pretzel. The director reveals that in lieu of a proposed sequel, he and Universal are closing a deal to revive Mallrats as a new 10-episode TV series.
We had the chance to talk to writer, director and actor Kevin Smith on the air during "The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show" today.
While Kevin is, perhaps, best known for his work on the "Clerks" movie series, he also has a million other things going on.
He called in to talk about his AMC series "Comic Book Men," which airs Sunday nights at midnight EST.
