Band Aid 30 and their rendition of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ have a lot to celebrate this week.

Bono, the lead singer of U2, is a very polarizing rock star. Most either hate him or love him, and few people are undecided. However, many are relieved that Bono is still alive after a scare he experienced while on a plane.

Well, this is fitting: Bono, the man who took on the persona of "The Fly" during U2's Zoo TV Tour back in 1992, now has a species of spider named after him.

Edmonton Oilers' center Gilbert Brule could have sworn he saw U2 frontman Bono hitchhiking on the side of a Canadian road Tuesday. Kelsey Nichols, his girlfriend and the driver of the car that had allegedly just whizzed past the rock icon, had her doubts -- because why in the world would Bono be hitchhiking on the side of the road...

U2 apparently want to be more hip.
