According to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), a phishing scam has been reported that appears to be coming from the IRS stating you are eligible to receive a $1400 Economic Impact Payment and to provide your personal information on a site that looks legitimate but is fake. Filling out your information on the site will compromise your personal details. Michigan's Attorney General Dana Nessel offers these ways to avoid the scam.
