
Sun is Setting on West Michigan’s Last Stan’s Tacos – New Restaurant to Move In
It's time to say goodbye to West Michigan's last remaining Stan's Tacos restaurant.
At one point, Stan's Tacos seemed poised to keep expanding in West Michigan. The first restaurant promising fresh food and beach vibes opened in Standale back in 2018.

In addition to tacos, Stan's served up chips and dip, nachos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls, margaritas, and more. The parent company, Meritage Hospitality Group, eventually opened locations in Grand Haven and downtown Grand Rapids. Those restaurants have both since closed.

Now, the original Stan's Tacos at 355 Wilson Ave. near Lake Michigan Drive in Walker’s Standale neighborhood is set to close. However, we do know a new restaurant will open up in its place.
News of the closure was shared to Facebook on March 20. The restaurant's last day will be April 1:
It is with grateful hearts that we announce the closing of Stan's Tacos, a beloved fixture in the Standale community. Our last day of business will be April 1, 2025. While we are saddened to say goodbye to Stan's Tacos, we are thrilled to introduce a new and exciting venture to our loyal patrons and the Standale community.
Meritage Hospitality group is bringing another one of their concepts to Standale: Morning Belle, a brunch eatery.
Currently there are three in the Grand Rapids area - on Bridge Street, the East Beltline, and at Breton Village.

Morning Belle's menu includes benedicts, omelets, bowls, pancakes, French Toast, waffles, sandwiches, salads, classic breakfast dishes, and more.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and love we've received from the community over the years While it is bittersweet to close this chapter, we are excited to bring something fresh and innovative to Standale. Morning Belle will reflect our commitment to quality, creativity, and exceptional hospitality.
Get into Stan's Tacos soon if you want to say goodbye. The restaurant will be serving up throwback specials, including offerings from the previous concepts at that location, like Crooked Goose and Stand Diego Baja Kitchen.
