More Than 10 New Restaurants Have Opened in West Michigan So Far in 2025

It's wild to think that we're already almost three full months into the new year. Well, if you're looking for a new restaurant to try in 2025, you're in luck!

Even though multiple restaurants have closed in West Michigan recently, it's great to see that awesome dining destinations continue to open up.

In fact, a Grand Rapids area that closed at the end of January is making a comeback with a new name and new partnership!

We have more new eateries to look forward to as well! This spring the owners of Rise Authentic Baking Co. in Grand Rapids are set to open a new, plant-based, gluten-free restaurant.

It's called Fika and it's coming to Grand Rapids' Creston neighborhood at 1359 Plainfield Ave. Fika is a Swedish word and it means to take a break with your friends and family and a enjoy a meal, coffee, and a treat.
