Son’s Memorial Bench Stolen from Belding Mom’s Yard

A mother in West Michigan is asking for help getting back a memorial bench she says was stolen from her yard.

The bench was given to Shauna Green-Smith in honor of her son, 10-year-old Devon Morrison, who died in 2013.

According to Wood TV 8, in Sept. 2013, Devon set off to go fishing and never returned home. His body was found days later in the Flat River.

Green-Smith says the bench was taken from her yard on Harrison Street in Belding on Tuesday night.

To who ever took it, please just bring it back. It's just wood to you but to me it's memories. Memories of how loved my little boy was."

Her post has been shared nearly 2,000 times on Facebook. Green-Smith asks that anyone with information please send her a message on Facebook.
