
New Restaurant Par and Plate Opens at Grand Rapids Area Golf Course
Golf season is in full swing and there's a new spot to grab a bite when you're out on the green in the Grand Rapids area.

About Alpine Golf Club
Par and Plate, a full service restaurant is now open at Alpine Golf Club in Comstock Park Just north of downtown Grand Rapids, the 18-hole public course has been around since 1967. The current owners say they’re all about offering a fun, affordable, and modern golf experience for Michiganders.

Nic and Deven Lapienski, who bought Alpine in 2023, are no strangers to the golf scene—they also own Arrowhead Golf Club in Caro and North Kent Golf Course in Rockford. Over the past couple of years, they’ve been working to elevate Alpine with the goal of “bringing country club amenities to the public golf course sector,” Nic told WZZM-13.
Introducing Par and Plate: The New Restaurant
The latest addition to those upgrades? Par and Plate, which officially opened its doors on June 2, 2025.

Par and Plate is serving elevated bar fare with a creative twist. Think smash burgers, house-made wings, flatbreads, fresh salads, and hearty sandwiches. One local favorite already getting high praise as a must-try in the GReat Facebook group: the birria grilled cheese.

As Nic puts it, the mission is to bring “scratch-made local flavor right back into the community where it’s been missing on this side of Alpine.” A menu hasn't been shared online yet, but check back for it on the golf course's website.
Par and Plate is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Whether you’re golfing or just hungry, it might be worth a visit.
