USA Today and 10best are looking for the best spots where pups can mingle and play while their owners relax and enjoy a drink.

A panel of experts chose 20 exceptional dog bars across the U.S., and now it's up to a public vote!

The Grand Rapids area business competing to be the best dog bar in the country is The Pack in Comstock Park.

First opening in 2021, The Pack bills itself as Michigan’s first indoor off-leash dog park, restaurant, and bar. You'll find a climate-controlled interior along with an outdoor play area for pooches. Plus, there are special events for holidays and meet-ups for specific breeds. They even offer doggy daycare!

The menu looks really good too, offering up a variety of appetizers including Thai sweet chili shrimp, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, garlic cheese curds and more. For your main course enjoy chicken tenders, quesadillas, flatbreads, and hand-tossed pizzas. There's a variety of signature cocktails as well.

Oh, and in case you're wondering if you can get in on the yummy bites and drinks without having a four-legged pal — yes! The Pack says everyone is totally welcome, those with dogs and without. If you don't have a dog, stop in for free!  Keep in mind, if you're coming with a pup, you will need a membership (or get a punch card for visits) and be registered on their website.
