I'm sure you have heard the phrase "Nothing Runs Like A Ford", for over a half a million Fords, that phrase may read, "Nothing Rolls Like A Ford."

According to WOOD TV, 550,000 Ford cars and SUVs are being recalled due to a faulty gearshift problem that has caused many vehicles to suddenly roll away.

If you happen to drive a Ford, here is a list of vehicles that will be recalled: 2013 and 2014 Ford Escape and small SUVs. Also under the recall will be 2013 through 2016 Fusion sedans.

The issue Ford says the vehicles are having is a bushing that hooks onto the shifter cable that connects to the transmission can just fall off. Drivers are told if this bushing falls off, the driver could then shift the vehicle into park but the vehicle may wind up in another gear causing the vehicle to roll and therefore have the possibility of a crash or an injury.

Ford is urging owners of vehicles from the years listed above to use the parking brake.

So far the Ford Motor Company says it is unaware of any crashes or injuries.

Ford dealerships will replace the faulty bushing at no cost. If you own one of the vehicles, you will be notified by July 30th.
