Momento Gelato and Coffee Brings Italy to Michigan
Who doesn't love the chance to travel to another country without getting on a flight?

The tastes of Italy are coming to Michigan.
If you are a gelato (or ice cream) fan, you will be excited to hear that Momento Gelato and Coffee is opening in Detroit.
After taking time to learn about gelato on his many trips to Italy, owner Tom Isaia is bringing his talents to the Midwest. The coffee shops' tagline says it all: "Born in Bologna, Refined in Detroit." Isaia knows what it takes to run a restaurant since he also owns The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor.
What is the difference between gelato and ice cream?
Gelato, according to Food Network,
"is richer and denser than American ice cream. Some people describe gelato as elastic. Ice cream is milkier and creamier than gelato."
However, Isaia makes gelato differently by using skim milk powder, cream, and whole milk to cut the fat levels.
Besides the gelato, Momento Gelato and Coffee also has a variety of desserts, food items, and drinks for you to choose from.
