Michigan Pub Loses Its Weiner
One of Sault Ste. Marie's staple restaurants started their year as the victim of a most preposterous crime.
Moloney's Alley was opened in 1996 and is located in the heart of downtown Sault Ste. Marie. The pub offers a range of food, drinks, and games and is active in the community as a host of many different events.
However, on Wednesday the bar was host to an event they never saw coming.
"It saddens us to make this post, but here goes: To the woman who stole our 'weiner' off our Christmas Tree...and stuffed it down your shirt...we saw you on camera and we have your picture!" the bar wrote on their Facebook page.
The wiener in question is not a real hot dog but is a hot dog ornament that was on the pub's Christmas tree. To get the ornament back, Moloney's Alley isn't afraid to play dirty. The bar has delivered the culprits an ultimatum: if the weiner isn't returned they will be forced to post the footage of the heist on their page to see if their friends recognize them.
If you decide to KEEP said “wiener” we will have to resort to posting your picture to see if your friends recognize you so we can get it back!
The bar is reaching out to the community to help spread the word in the hope the weiner bandits see the post and return the bar's prized possession. As of 3:20 yesterday, their "precious weiner" had still not been returned. If you or anyone you know lives around the Sault Ste. Marie and sees someone sporting a new, shiny weiner, don't be afraid to ask where they got it.
