Michigan Man with Multiple Felonies, Including Killing Bald Eagle, Going Back to Prison
A 31-year-old Muskegon man with multiple felony convictions, including killing a bald eagle, is headed back to prison.
M-Live reports that Ryan Armstrong committed a string of break-ins north of Muskegon after being released from prison in July of 2018, where he had spent more than a decade for previous charges. March 14, Judge Annette Smedley sentenced Armstrong as a habitual offender to a minimum of 40 months in prison and a maximum of 20 years.
Armstrong's previous felonies include breaking and entering, home invasion, safe breaking, resisting police, and auto theft.
Prior to that, Armstrong was incarcerated in 2004 for shooting a bald eagle and chopping it up with a hatchet.
