Michigan's Adventure Celebrates 70 Amazing Years

Michigan's Adventure, the state's largest amusement park, offers 250 acres of family fun. For generations, Michigan families have made visiting the park a cherished tradition.

Located halfway between Muskegon and Whitehall, Michigan's Adventure is a familiar destination for many West Michigan residents. The park features more than 60 rides, slides, and attractions, including seven roller coasters. Among them is the legendary Shivering Timbers, widely regarded as one of America's classic wooden coasters.

Admission also includes access to WildWater Adventure, the park's outdoor water park. Guests can cool off in wave pools, race down thrilling water slides like Funnel of Fear, or enjoy kid-friendly splash zones and other water attractions.

Michigan's Adventure began as Deer Park in 1956 before evolving into Deer Park Funland. Over the years, the park expanded under several owners, including Cedar Fair, Six Flags, and Enchanted Parks, growing into the popular amusement destination it is today.

70 Years of Thrills at Michigan's Adventure

Although the park first opened as Deer Park in 1956, it wasn't renamed Michigan's Adventure until 1988. In 2026, the park celebrates its 70th anniversary, and there's still time to experience its thrilling rides and create lifelong memories with family and friends.

Michigan's Adventure offers a variety of ticket options and add-ons to help you make the most of your visit. There's still plenty of summer left to enjoy the park, with the 2026 season running through Labor Day.
