Michigan LEGOLAND Suspends Lion Over Mini Ford Field for Detroit Playoff Game
Go Lions! The Lions mania is real and LEGOLAND Michigan is getting in on the action.
Ahead of the Detroit Lions' playoff game against the L.A. Rams on Sunday, January 14, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan in Auburn Hills showed its support by suspending a lion from the rafters over their miniature LEGO version of Ford Field. It's part of the attractions' MINILAND.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan shared the post to Facebook saying, "Who's ready for Sunday?"
According to WNEM, the LEGO Ford Field is one if its most popular exhibits:
The stadium took over two weeks to design and build. It’s built out of 15,000 LEGO Bricks, the stands are packed with over 800 minifigures, and it has a playable magnetic football game where guests can move the players and score touchdowns.
This is not the first time LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan has paid tribute to Michigan sports teams. In the past, they've built a display to honor Tigers' Opening Day.
You'll also find some of Detroit's most loved landmarks, built from over 1 million LEGO bricks!
Visitors to LEGOLAND can make their own LEGO creations, go on rides, and meet LEGO characters.
We can't wait to see how they celebrate if the Lions win their upcoming playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! (Or possibly even the Super Bowl!)
