First of all, Michigan is big into stickers it seems. Who can forget the "I Voted" sticker contest launched Secretary of State Joselyn Benson last year? There were SO MANY great designs, like this one, created by Breanna Tanner of Grand Rapids:

But the one that got the most attention was the "I Voted" werewolf from Jane Hynous of Grosse Pointe, a student at Brownell Middle School. Vice President Kamala Harris' reaction to it was priceless. They were even going for $40 on ebay — for a single sticker!

Anyway, I'm just hoping a kiddo comes through for us with something half as cool as the "I Voted" werewolf.

The DNR is holding a sticker contest to celebrate its Outdoor Adventure Center's 10th birthday. Designs should recognize the OAC community, programs, or an experience you've had at the OAC.

One winner will be chosen in each of these categories:

  • Ages 5-12
  • Ages 13-17
  • Ages 18-plus
  • Department of Natural Resources staff

Submit your design by midnight on May 15 here.

A team of Outdoor Adventure Center staff plus community members will narrow it down to finalists and then the public will vote May 25 through 31. If your design wins it will be printed and given away during the OAC birthday week in July!

Winners of Michigan 'I Voted' Sticker Competition - Including Viral Werewolf Design

In Spring of 2024, Michigan launched the "I Voted" sticker design contest.

More than 480 designs were submitted and over 57,700 public votes were cast for the winners.

Three winning designs were selected from each separate category:
  • Elementary/middle school (grades K-8)
  • High school (grades 9-12)
  • General entry (open to Michigan residents of all ages)
Check out the nine winners below, including a werewolf design by a middle-schooler that people are LOVING online.
