The Michigan Department of Corrections is hiring.
NBC 25 News reports MDOC is looking to bring on board up to 700 full-time employees.
According to the job posting, positions are considered entry-level and pay up to $27.06 per hour.
Employees will oversee and participate in the custody, security, and treatment of prisoners in correctional facilities. Positions are open at various locations throughout the state.
Applicants will have to pass a post-job-offer medical exam, drug screen, and physical fitness test.
If hired, employees are required to complete 8 weeks of academy training and two months of on-the-job training.
