Today, Michigan State football head coach Mark Dantonio announced his retirement after 13 seasons with the Spartans.

Dantonio made the announcement in a statement he posted on Twitter. He said, "I will miss it all but feel the sacrifices that I have made away from my family must now become my priority at this time in my life."

Dantonio is stepping down as head coach, but plans to remain involved in special projects.
