Lions QB Matthew Stafford Back on Reserve/ COVID-19 List
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is on the reserve/ COVID-19 list for the second time this season.
The Detroit Free Press reports Stafford was placed on the list Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Earlier this week, the Lions placed linebacker Jarrad Davis on the reserve/ COVID-19 list. They say the cases are unrelated.
So is Stafford out for Sunday's game agains the Minnesota Vikings? Per NFL rules, he has to isolate for at least five days if he tested positive, or five days from his last date of close contact with a person who tested positive.
Stafford's wife Kelly said in an Instagram video that Stafford had not tested positive, but was in close contact to someone who did. According to ESPN, Kelly says their entire family has tested negative at this point.
ESPN's Adam Schefter Tweeted that his last contact with an infected person was Monday, so if he tests negative he may be able to play on Sunday.
