What Makes an Ice Cave?
Michigan's Upper Peninsula is home to numerous ice caves and formations, offering visitors breathtaking sights and unforgettable experiences. These thousands of ice formations are created through a combination of freezing temperatures, water seeping into cracks and crevices, and the gradual buildup of ice over time, often shaped by wind, flowing water, and seasonal thawing and refreezing.
