
Plainfield Ave. Businesses Targeted in Graffiti Spree—Police Seek Tips
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help after a wave of vandalism in Plainfield Township this summer.

Several businesses along Plainfield Avenue, mainly between East Beltline and 4 Mile Road, have been hit with spray paint and graffiti tags in recent weeks. The damage has been happening overnight, leaving business owners to wake up to an unwelcome surprise.

Now, police are hoping someone in the community can help identify the people responsible. They’ve shared photos of individuals they believe might be connected to the graffiti and are asking anyone with information to speak up.

This isn’t the first time Plainfield Township has dealt with property crimes recently. Earlier this month, there was a string of tool shed thefts where thieves made off with power tools, lawn equipment, and other valuable items. While it's not believed the thefts are connected to the vandalism, it's put the neighborhood on alert.
