I have developed a new move the guys are seeing in the studio more and more: the eyeglasses shuffle.

I push my glasses up a million times a day. A few years ago, my former co-worker Justin had vision correction at Keil Lasik Vision Center, so I decided to go for a consultation. I was so impressed with them!

And, I wanted to share with you my five best tips for finding a Lasik doctor and how to handle the initial consultation:

1) Go into the consultation with an open mind. Dr. Keil actually perform several different types of laser correction, so there's a chance that even if Lasik isn't right for you, another procedure will be.

2) Don't be afraid to ask questions. Your consultation will last 1.5 to 2 hours, but think about some of your biggest concerns beforehand so you're sure to get all the information you need.

3) Ask about financing options. Keil Lasik Vision Center offers special financing for 12 to 24 months with approved credit and will help you determine if your insurance offers vision correction surgery discounts.

4) Be prepared to discuss your medical history, because other conditions and any prescriptions you take could affect your vision. Lasik is not approved for people younger than 18, women who are pregnant or nursing and people with cataracts and glaucoma.

5) Look for signs that the doctor is a good fit for you. Do you understand his or her explanations? Do you feel comfortable around them?

The first step, of course, is a free consultation. Click here or call 616-365-5775 to schedule a free consultation with Keil Lasik Vision Center and tell them that Free Beer sent you.
