Today (March 14), a West Michigan clothing store is giving away free clothing to those in need.

WWMT-3 reports that Second Impressions, located at 3750 Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo, is having its annual clothing giveaway 4 to 6 p.m. EDT Saturday.

Last year, more than 600 people came to event and the store gave out more than 3,000 pieces of clothing.

The general manager PattyGruizinga appeared on  WMMT-3's The Lori Moore Show, to talk about the event and give some background on Second Impressions.

Gruizinga explains that the mission of the store is to raise money for parents who send their kids to Kalamazoo Christian Schools. Second Impressions has given 5 and 1/2 million to the cause so far.

Twice a year, around when the seasons change, Second Impressions holds a clothing giveaway: all clothing, shoes, and boots are free those in need in the community.
