Kalamazoo Police are asking for help finding a missing teenager who may be suicidal.

Fox 17 reports that 16 year-old Michael Thorton jumped from a moving vehicle Tuesday night near the intersection of West Main Street and N Drake road in Kalamazoo.

The incident happened after Thorton's release from the hospital on Monday following a failed suicide attempt. His parents worry he may still be a danger to himself.

Thornton is described as 5'9", 115 lbs, with short sandy brown hair. He was last seen wearing a teal blue shirt with "Girls on the Run" on the front and black Hollister pants. When he jumped out of the vehicle, he was not wearing shoes or socks.

Anyone who may have information should call the Kalamazoo County County Sheriff's Office at 269-383-8748 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
