There is no disputing the fact that Michigan is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The summer offers beautiful beaches, hiking trails, and so much more. The winter does pretty much the same, only a lot colder. Just because the winter season is here, doesn't mean you can enjoy a night out under the stars.

According to thrillist.com and their list of the best winter camping spots for stargazing, Michigan has a lot to offer, taking two spots on the list.

Which two Michigan locations made the Top 8?

If you're looking for a great place in Michigan to do some winter camping, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is in the Top 8 in the country. Pictured Rocks offers plenty of winter activities including snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, winter camping and more.

The second location that made it on the list is Nature's Kennel in the Upper Peninsula. Nature's Kennel offers visitors activities such as dog sledding, overnight adventures, ice climbing, photography opportunities, and more. Sledding trips are run seven days per week through the end of March at Nature's Kennel.
