Sick of the same old lunch? If you’ve been craving a hearty sandwich, loaded-up baked potato, a cup of sweet tea with a cult following, there's a new restaurant to check out.

McAlister's Deli, a fast-casual chain that has been winning fans since it started in Mississippi in 1989, continues to expand in Michigan.

McAlister's Deli Now Open in Walker, Mich.

A McAlister’s Deli popped up in Wyoming in 2020, and you’ll also spot locations in Holland, Norton Shores, and Portage. Now there’s a new addition: the Walker McAlister's at 3120 Alpine Ave. NW is officially open. Doors are open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and this marks the 11th McAlister’s in the state.

The chain is also known for its “giant spuds,” and these aren’t your basic butter-and-sour-cream potatoes. You can go bold with a Buffalo chicken spud, sweet and savory honey BBQ pork spud, or a veggie-packed option loaded with fresh toppings.
