Is It True? Are We Really That Nice in Michigan?
Midwest Nice, Michigan Nice, all seem to be a thing. At least according to a Northeasterner transplant to Michigan.
Are we just more patient here in Michigan? Maybe we are. I mean, life is life and things will get done in their time so no need to yell and scream, right?

The commenter in the Michigan Sub Reddit got an interesting conversation going by posting:
"Like for example: when I'm in line at a store and there's only one cashier and the line is getting longer and longer and the person in front takes their sweet time. Asking the cashier questions. Maybe putting something back and getting something else. And everyone in line is totally fine. Back at home, there would be loud comments."

I for one would roll my eyes and be annoyed if something like that happened to me while trying to check out, but things happen. In the Northeast, New York for example, he's probably right. They are always in a hurry so, "Get out of my way!"
And, don't you think that you have the uncanny ability to pick the wrong checkout line? Yep, it happens every time, but things happen. So many people commented the same thing. Wrong line! Wrong line! Oh well.

Don't forget, as one person posted, making a stink and getting angry will not make the line go faster. You don't know the problems the cashier or customer may be having. They really are doing the best they can. Nothing is better than being understanding with a smile on your face.
Midwest/Michigan Nice works all the time!
