Not In The Christmas Spirit? One Michigan Store Can Solve It
Maybe you're not feeling a lot like Christmas, and need a holiday boost, there is one store in Michigan that is nothing but holiday joy year-round.
Bah Humbug
The holidays can be a stressful time. Everything costs more than it used to, you work longer hours, it's tough to find time to shop, and sometimes this kind of stuff along with many other distractions can take you out of the Christmas spirit.
No matter your stress level, there is one Michigan store that is stress-free and will take you back in time when you were a kid with no worries and just the sheer excitement of Christmas on the horizon.
Take a Trip to a Chrismas Wonderland
Back in October I took a little trip with a friend to a place I had heard about my entire life but had never been to. Little did I know it would get me into the Christmas spirit and carry me through the holidays.
If you have driven on any freeway in the state of Michigan, you have at least seen one billboard for Bronner's Christmas Wonderland which is located in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Bronner's will no doubt get you in a Christmas mood and may spark some new ideas for many holidays to come.
I remember walking through Bronner's in complete amazement at how big the store was and all of the Christmas items they offered. I have to admit I felt like a little kid all over again. I always wondered where people got some of those huge items for their outdoor Christmas displays.
When I say that everything Christmas imaginable is at Bronner's, I mean it, and it's for sale.
I spent hours in awe of all the Christmas decorations and how detailed many of the items were. If you love the holidays there is no better place to get the holiday spirit than Bronner's.
There were Christmas tree options I didn't know existed until I went to Bronner's. There were ornaments galore, custom-made-to-order ornaments, people wrapping up your purchases, and Christmas music playing in the background. It wasn't even Halloween yet and for the first time since I was a kid, the excitement of Christmas was brand new again.
I have been Christmas shopping since Thanksgiving weekend and this year has been different. I looked forward to the process and knew what I was going to buy, I didn't mind the traffic or waiting in lines like in previous years. I think my visit to Bronner's made a difference in my holiday experience and to be honest, I only bought one little item there but I drove away feeling better that I had visited.
If you are thinking of heading to Frankenmuth for a visit at Bronner's, they are only closed 4 days of the entire calendar year. The only days they are closed are New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
The picture above shows something I thought was unique and had to of taken a lot of time to create. Each one of those bulbs is hanging by an individual string and the picture does not do it justice you will need to see it for yourself.
Bronner's is open 361 days of the year from 9 am to 7 pm and even has a hotel located next door if you want to make it an overnight stay. Plus, you are just a few minutes from two other iconic places to eat and that is the Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Zehnder's of Frankenmuth.
