ICP Shaggy 2 Dope Visits Viral Juggalo Fox at Michigan Sanctuary

There’s always a new viral animal taking over the internet.

We've fallen in love with Moo Deng the pygmy hippo, and wept over Punch, the adorable orphaned monkey with his favorite stuffed animal. Even right here in Michigan, we've cheered for Hugo at John Ball Zoo and obsessed over the rare aardwolf pups at Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park.

But a new contender just entered the ring, and he is totally Pure Michigan. Have you heard of the “Littlest Juggalo Fox”?

Meet Romeo, the Littlest Juggalo Fox

That would be Romeo, a baby fox who has been blowing up online since arriving at his new home at Mother of Many Wildlife Rehab Inc. (also known as The Felix Foundation).

Felix Foundation Fox Sanctuary and Rehab

Located in Howell, Michigan, this sanctuary and rehab cares for foxes with injuries, permanent residents that can’t be released back into the wild, animals rescued from fur farms, and young kits still being rehabilitated with the goal of returning them to nature. Right now, they're caring for dozens of sanctuary foxes, alongside raccoons, squirrels, woodchucks, and other local wildlife.

Romeo arrived in late April when he was just a couple of weeks old. Because of his incredibly distinct, stark facial markings, someone online pointed out that he looked a whole lot like a Juggalo—a nod to fans of Detroit’s own Insane Clown Posse.

The internet jokes followed at lightning speed, including: “What’s he in rehab for, drinking too much Faygo?” From there, the posts absolutely took off. Because, well… just look at him!

How ICP Found a Tiny Fox in Howell

In early June, the sanctuary decided to lean into the fun, tagging Insane Clown Posse in posts about “The Littlest Juggalo Fox” to see if they could get the rap duo's attention.

After just five posts, the magic happened.

ICP’s Shaggy 2 Dope and his family drove out to meet Romeo in person! They spent the day at the Felix Foundation, fell in love with the little guy, and made a generous donation to support the incredible work being done at the sanctuary.

How cool is that? A cute little rescue fox in Howell suddenly sparks a viral wave, bringing massive, much-needed attention to a wildlife rescue most people might have missed (it was my first time learning about them, too!).

A funny nickname, a few clever posts, a little “whoop whoop” energy, and suddenly people are showing up in droves to support local wildlife. That sounds exactly like ICP's version of "family."
