Homicidal Teen’s Diary Entry Leads to Her Arrest and 15-Year Sentence
This story is absolutely chilling.
A 17-year-old girl in Austin, Tex. has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after her diary entries were found by her parents, describing in detail how she attempted to murder an innocent woman for no reason.
Back in 2015, Pearl Moen attacked and stabbed a woman who was laying on a sidewalk outside of an apartment. She stabbed the innocent woman 21 times. The woman barely survived and is struggling daily to recover from the attack. Moen was caught after police found her diary, in which she described in detail the attack, when they were called to the house for another disturbance.
So, okay, I’ll start with the exciting bit. I stabbed an innocent woman to death earlier today. (Technically yesterday since it’s 1 am). It was absolutely fantastic. Murder gives me a high unlike any other. It feels like this crisp unreality, flashing and sparkling, adrenaline and shock. Fight or flight mode. How do I even go about describing it. The whole thing was unreal. I’m so proud of myself. I stabbed her like 20 times. Maybe more. I wasn’t counting. She screamed & grabbed at me saying “what the f—?! Help. Leave. I'm a homicidal psychopath. I have a deep hatred towards people right now.
The journal also contained drawings of the crime and an entry about how she had lost a gold ring during the stabbing. Police found that gold ring at the scene, so it wasn't really difficult for them to confirm that Moen was indeed responsible for the crime.
Last Friday, Moen pleaded guilty to the attempted murder charge. She will spend the next 15 years in jail, honestly, doesn't seem like nearly enough.
