The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show "Holiday Break-ins" return and they need your help in finding families in West Michigan who are in need for the holidays.

What is a Holiday Break-in?

A Holiday Break-in is not someone breaking into your house and stealing all your Christmas presents from under the tree or anything else.

Unfortunately, many families in the area struggle year-round, and to survive just don't have the extra means for a Christmas for their family.

Think of the Holiday Break-ins as something similar to a Secret Santa. The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show and 979 GRD do not want the families in need to know they are the ones trying to help them for the holidays. They just want families in need to know that people care for them and give them hope by helping them during a very tough time of the year, especially if they have children.

How To Help a Family in Need with Free Beer and Hot Wings Holiday Break-ins

To help a West Michigan family in need for the holidays we need you to nominate them by clicking here. When you get to the landing page select "Michigan, Grand Rapids, WGRD 97.9" in the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the landing page.

Tell us who you would like to nominate, give us their address, and tell us about the family and how they could be helped for the holidays. We will keep everything completely anonymous. Let us know as many details as possible such as the number of children, ages, and parents' work hours.

We only ask a few things from you like do not nominate yourself or someone in your household. Don't tell the family you nominated them so we can keep this a secret. The most important thing we need from you is your help getting the family out of the house and getting us into the house to leave a Christmas behind.

Nominations are now through December 4. After December 4, the Free Beer and Hot Wings Show and 979 GRDs Janna and Tommy Carroll with go through all the nominations to select the families we feel we can help the most. We ask you to join us on Friday, December 20, for one of the best days in radio of the year when the break-ins will be carried out.
