WATCH: Halestorm’s Entire 2016 Kalamazoo State Theatre Show
Halestorm is one of the biggest bands in the land these days. Frontwoman Lzzy Hale has solidified herself as, not only one of the best women in Rock and Roll, but seriously, one of the best... PERIOD!
In 2016, Halestorm was on tour with Lita Ford and Dorothy, so a MASSIVE power tour for rising women in Rock and Roll. And that show rolled through Kalamazoo at the State Theatre.
Halestorm was a year into promoting their "Into the Wild Life" album. They also released a cover of Dio's "Straight Through the Heart" for the Ronnie James Dio tribute album "This is Your Life."
"Into the Wild Life" was the band's third album, released in 2015 with singles like "Apocalyptic," "Mayhem" and "Amen." It also included "I am the Fire," which has been regarded as one of Halestorm's best-written songs in their career.
That year, they also were nominated for Breakthrough Band of the Year at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, alongside In This Moment, The Amity Affliction, and Bury Tomorrow, but ultimately lost to Babymetal.
Nonetheless, the band was riding on a high, and brought their headlining tour on the road to venues across the country, including Kalamzoo's State Theatre.
That show was also slated to be recorded for a live DVD release by LiveNation.
The pro-shot DVD came out soon after, and was available for purchase. But now, seven years later, the whole thing is on Youtube, and you can watch it below.
So if you were at that show, you can relive all of those moments you remember again.
