Remember the guy who got stuck in the snow in his car in Oregon for 5 days and survived on Taco Bell sauce packets? He’s getting free Taco Bell for a year, WZZM reports.

If you don’t know the story, a quick recap:  Jeremy and his dog Allie went into the mountains around Bend, Oregon.  It was supposed to just be a three-hour tour.. well more of an off-road adventure, but when he got his SUV stuck, they ended up spending 5 days stuck in the snow, until a snowmobiler came by and saw them.  And rescue them, of course.

When rescued, Jeremy said he sucked down a few sauce packets to stay alive.  The revelation is what led Taco Bell to give Jeremy free food for a year and all the sauce packets he wants, according to WZZM 13.

WZZM 13 shared a statement from Taco Bell,

“We’re very glad Jeremy and Ally are okay," the company said in a statement. "We know our sauce packets are amazing, but this takes it to a whole new level. We’re in touch with Jeremy and have sent him a well deserved care package, a year’s supply of Taco Bell, and of course, all the sauce packets that come with it.”

If that’s what it takes to get free food, I’m going to go get stuck somewhere; except I’m taking some of the giant pretzel at The Mitten Brewing, because that’s where I want free food from after I’m rescued.
