Do you recognize the people or the vehicle in this surveillance footage? Police are asking for help identifying two arson suspects allegedly involved in setting fires at a Grand Rapids apartment complex.

Shortly before 1a.m. on December 24, 911 got several reports of fires and explosions in a carport at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Bayberry Point Drive NW.

The Grand Rapids Fire Department and Walker Fire Department were able to put out the fires with no injuries, but at least six vehicles were damaged in the incident.

An investigation by GRPD detectives has determined that the fires were the result of arson. Two suspects and their vehicle were caught by surveillance camera. This week, GRPD released the footage, asking for tips from the public.

GRPD Public Information Officer Sergeant Dan Adams said,

While the videos may not show the suspects’ faces well, we are hopeful that someone recognizes the clothing, vehicle or may even have a motive as to why someone would commit such a dangerous crime.
