GRPD Ask For Help Identifying Sexual Assault Suspect
The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest in an early morning sexual assault on the City’s south side.
According to a release, the assault occurred June 8, 2019, at about 4:30a.m. near South Division Avenue and Detroit Street SW.
The victim was able to provide investigators with a description, which led technicians to create a composite likeness of the suspect. He's described as a light skinned black male in his late twenties to early thirties, tall with a skinny build.
Nearby surveillance cameras were able to capture the suspect’s vehicle as he fled. It is believed to be a silver Ford Focus Hatchback.
