Festival season is ramping up in Michigan. Foods of all kinds get honored across the state, everything from blueberries, to baby food, to banana bread. Well, this summer there's a new festival coming to Kalamazoo to celebrate one of the best comfort foods out there: grilled cheese!

Outlier Events, the same organization that brings West Michigan The Mac and Cheese Fest, The Donut and Beer Fest, Taco and Tequila Festival, and more is hosting Kalamazoo's first ever Grilled Cheese Fest.

Michigan Grilled Cheese Festival Coming to Kalamazoo Summer 2025

Michigan’s Grilled Cheese Festival is happening at Homer Stryker Field where the Kalamazoo Growlers play on Saturday, July 26th, 3p.m. to 8p.m.

Not only will you be able to try grilled cheese sandwich creations from more than 30 vendors, but also more than 100 beers and ciders.

Sounds like organizers are trying to break a world record as well as the festival will include the World's Largest Bowl of Tomato Soup! I'm not entirely sure how that will work, but it sounds delicious!

Tickets for Grilled Cheese Festival in Kalamazoo

There are multiple ticket options for the Grilled Cheese Festival. If you're not interested in alcohol, it's $39 for grilled cheese only. General admission for grilled cheese and beer is $49 and you'll get food and drink sampling tokens, a lanyard, and a sampling cup.

If you go the VIP route, you can get into the fest 90 minutes early and you'll get more tokens. Grilled cheese and beer VIP tickets are $65.
