Grand Haven Makes ‘Towns You Haven’t Heard of But Should Visit ASAP’ List

Recently named the happiest seaside town in the U.S., Grand Haven is getting even more national attention!

House Beautiful has ranked Grand Haven among the "40 American Towns You Haven't Heard of But Should Visit ASAP". 

When planning a vacation, lots of people choose typical familiar vacation destinations.

House Beautiful urges use to explore the "unsung hot spots", the "unheard-of towns" that deserve a spot on our vacation bucket lists, like Grand Haven:

Located on the Eastern shore of Lake Michigan and the mouth of the Grand River is this appropriately named town, which offers wine tasting, sand dune riding and an annual Coast Guard Festival at the end of every summer."

Other destinations include Shipshewana, Indiana;  Marietta, Ohio; Pella, Iowa; and Galena Illinois.
