Longtime Grand Rapids Butcher Shop and Deli Shuts Down
After more than a dozen years serving up fresh cuts and friendly conversation, a longtime neighborhood staple in Grand Rapids has closed its doors.

For many on the northeast side, it was a reliable spot for quality cuts and quick dinner ideas.
A Neighborhood Staple Since 2013
Grand Butchers, located at 855 Michigan St. NE, first opened in the fall of 2013.
I remember stopping in not long after they opened while living in the nearby Belknap Neighborhood. My then-new boyfriend, now husband, wanted to grill, so we went in and left with more than we planned!

We want to say thank you to all of our customers/friends who have supported us all these years. I loved providing quality meats and talking food with everyone! I loved what I did and constantly bragged that I had the best customers in town.

If anyone asked me where to get the best cut in GR - without a doubt, it's here. Now I have to eat mediocre cuts for the rest of my life. RIP Grand Butchers.
Ann shared,
Margie - it was your meats that have nourished our family for the last decade, and grace our table every holiday meal. I'm grateful for all you've done for us and our neighborhood. I echo what others have said. Not sure now where we're going to get our meats from, but we'll figure something out. All the love to you, your family, and staff Marge!
The closing marks the end of a longtime local option for meat and deli items in that part of the city.
