A Grand Rapids distillery is up for not just one, but three national honors!
Long Road Distillers on Leonard St. NW is is among the top 20 in three polls on spirits in the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards by USA Today.
Long Road is in the running for Best Brandy, Gin, and Specialty Spirits Distillery in the country. In all categories, a panel of experts has chosen the top 20 and now it's up to a public vote.

Long Road Distillers makes a small-batch brandy from fresh local apples sourced from the Fruit Ridge of West Michigan. The brandy spends nearly a year in used whiskey barrels to allow the flavors to develop and mellow.

Gin lovers will find three varieties on offer from Long Road Distillers in Grand Rapids, including a Dry Gin crafted with six botanicals perfect for mixing. Among the spirits made by the folks at Long Road Distillers in Grand Rapids are two varieties of aquavit, a popular Scandinavian spirit. The Original Aquavit has a profile of herbs and spices, while the limited release Old Aquavit rests in used whiskey barrels for 12 months, lending it greater complexity with notes of dill and caraway. The Michigan distillery also makes limited release liqueurs in flavors like raspberry and cherry.

Opening in Grand Rapids at 537 Leonard St. NW in May of 2015, Long Road Distillers has since expanded, opening locations in Charlevoix, Grand Haven, and Cadillac.
