Many cities have massive traffic problems.

Gridlock is the worst.

Hours are wasted sitting in a vehicle going absolutely NOWHERE.
This is the case in the capital city of Kinshasa, Congo, in Africa.

Enter inventor Isaie Therese. Working with a team of Congolese engineers based at the Kinshasa Higher Institute of Applied Technique (ISTA), she created an 8-foot-tall robot that directs traffic.

And you WILL obey the robot!

These robots are solar-powered, have "eyes" to keep track of things and even have signs displaying messages. Oh, and their "arms" flail up and down to direct the traffic.
