A friend who went to Eddie's show Sunday at DTE Energy Theater (Pine Knob) said the veteran rocker 'didn't look too good'. Now we know why.

They say the show must go on and that was certainly the case for Eddie Money, who delayed much needed heart surgery so he wouldn’t have to cancel concerts this past weekend.

TMZ reports that Money has been dealing with shortness of breath and is set to undergo heart valve replacement surgery this week, but doctors actually wanted him to have the procedure last week but that would have meant canceling two Memorial Day weekend shows.

Instead Money performed his concert Saturday in Detroit, where he used to traditionally be the opening act at DTE, and then traveled to Arizona for another show, although he did cut it short due to breathing issues. He missed the encore, and an EMT checked him out to make sure he was okay.

Money doesn’t have any more shows scheduled until mid-June, which should give him plenty of time to recover. His next show is set for June 13th in Frederick, Maryland.
