Do You Know What a Midwest Dirty Soda Is?
Before I get to the Midwest Dirty Soda, let's find out what is in a "Dirty Soda." A Dirty Soda is a non-alcoholic drink made with soda, cream, flavored syrups, or fruit juices like in the picture above.
According to Milwaukee Magazine's Facebook page, a Midwest Dirty Soda is Mountain Dew mixed with hazelnut, raspberry coffee syrup, Irish cream, and ranch dressing. I may have just puked in my mouth thinking of this. I am not the only Midwesterner who thinks this sounds rank but has never heard of it until today.
I agree with Dylan Messenheimer who said, " This is giving the Midwest a bad name." Jamie Stephan chimed in quickly, "No one is drinking that." Milwaukee Magazine started the thread by saying it came from a convenience store called Kwik Trip.
Many posters on this thread have said they have never heard of a Midwest Dirty Soda but seem quick to blame it on neighboring states. I did like how poster Ron Babin said, "My guess this was a concoction dreamed up because it was a slow news day and they wanted to stir up some comments. Looks like it worked."
There are a lot of posts on this thread but if you like GIFs near the end posters went crazy posting them and many are very funny.
