The winter of 2018 has brought heavy snow to Southwest Michigan, and lots of it - too much for the historic 1880 Heath School near Bangor. The one-room schoolhouse has collapsed due to the snow.
Aurora Borealis has been hanging in the northern sky all week, but Tuesday the bursts were more visible. It was flickering dimly along the GR skyline when I came in at 4:30am, but it was more apparent earlier in the morning.
It's every stereotype you were told about Michigan's regions since you were a kid. You know -- all they do in Grand Rapids is make furniture, everyone in Holland wears Dutch clothing and picks tulips, and Canada is home to evil scientists. (Wait. WHAT!!?)
We know it's been a long time since the Austin Powers movies, but we're not sure how else to describe this house.
There's carpet on the walls, a wet bar, a weird hot tub room...
I'm not sure how long this has been a thing, but it appears loving couples have been memorializing their love by placing a lock on the Sixth Street Bridge.
This did not end well for the original love lock bridge.
