West Michigan’s Viral TikTok Features Big Gretch In Faygo Challenge

Recently, Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer gave it a shot! Big Gretch appeared on the viral West Michigan TikTok account applesauceandadhd. Creator Jessica Secrest of Jenison is a stay-at-home mom known for her "aggressive cooking tutorials."

According to Fox 17,  in January of 2023, she started filming meals she was making for her kids as a hobby. Turns out people really enjoyed her blunt, sarcastic video on how to make an uncrustable the "right" way.

She adopted that snarky, aggressive style for all her videos, leading to where she is today: with over 4.4 million followers! Jessica even has a cookbook on the way.

Now, I wouldn't say the TikTok with Gov. Whitmer is overflowing with sass, but it is a fun watch! Big Gretch went through three rounds of taste tests to see if she could correctly tell Faygo apart from other brands. The first pitted Faygo Cola against Coca-Cola. She got it right! She also correctly picked Moon Mist over Mountain Dew. Then it was a battle of the orange pops: Sunkist, Faygo Orange, and Fanta Orange.

Ultimately, Gretch was not able to pick out Faygo Orange. I don't know if I could either, that's a tough one!

However, Jessica decided that two out of three ain't bad and Gov. Whitmer gets to keep her Michigan card. Gretch says, "Thank you! That would be so awkward if you took away my Michigan card!"
