I’ve done it plenty of times with friends, and it’s always a blast. We usually hit the Muskegon River in Newaygo, where you can rent tubes from Wisner Rents Canoes. They make it super easy with rentals and a shuttle so you can just enjoy the ride. It's the perfect summer escape!

We always tie our tubes together, toss a floating cooler in the middle, and drift for hours. It’s fun to chat with other tubers and wave at the kayakers and canoers as they pass. You’ll definitely want sunscreen, drinks, snacks, and maybe a waterproof speaker. I'd also recommend wearing water shoes!

Lately, my friends and I have been thinking about switching it up and trying a new river. People had lots of suggestions on other options, along with places to start and end your tubing trip.
